The most appropriate way to begin this month’s Chiefly Speaking is with an introduction. Many of you know me through past OA events, but for those who do not, my name is Anthony Horn. I am an Eagle Scout out of Troop 167 in Crestwood, KY, a Vigil Honor Member of Nguttitehen Lodge, and your 2023 Lodge Chief.
This year, I want to try to strengthen our lodge’s communication among members. We are figuring out the best way to get everyone in the lodge on Slack. Slack is a great communication tool that will help all of us know about future events, changes, and even leadership opportunities. If you are reading this and do not have Slack, download it right now so you get all the lodges updates. By getting everyone on Slack, we will be able to push more information out about the events to more members than ever before. This will lead to growth in the lodge and help us retain members in future years. Please download slack so you can be a part of our lodges’ growth. There is no end to what we can accomplish when we have excellent communication.
