February Chiefly Speaking

As we move into a new year, there is always a great deal of change. New lodge officers are coming in, the previous are stepping back. We also bring in new chapter officers and lodge committee chairmen. This is a period of uncertainty, but it’s also an awesome period of learning and developing new leaders.

Every single one of you has the ability to make a difference in our lodge. Just by showing up to an Induction Weekend and helping out or serving as an Elangomat, you make a distinct difference. You can also come to one of our Fellowship Events at either Camp Crooked Creek or Pfeffer Scout Reservation. Fellowship Events are a great opportunity to not only have a blast, but also give back to the lodge for all that it does for us. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or my other officers.

Coming up, we have our Spring Pow-Wow in about a month on the weekend of March 22nd-24th at Pfeffer Scout Reservation. Once again, this event is an awesome time, and I hope to see all of you there! We also have our second annual Kentucky Trade-O-Ree at Camp Crooked Creek on March 8th and 9th. This is an event filled with some fellowship and of course, a bunch of patch trading! If you have any questions about Trade-O-Ree, you can reach out to the event adviser Brandon Hayes at brandon.hayes@nguttitehen.org or me at lodgechief@nguttitehen.org.

I can’t wait to see where the new year takes us. I hope to meet and see all of you soon!
