Arrowmen,
I’d like to start this Chiefly Speaking with a shout out to our nation committees. At the end of September, we held two Ordeal Weekends simultaneously. Those weekends wouldn’t have gone so well if we didn’t have an excellent staff. From both ends of our lodge, we welcomed new members and participated in hours of meaningful service. To everybody who came out and supported the lodge and our candidates, thank you.
Later on in this month, we’re finally getting to my favorite event of the year. From Oct 18-20, at Camp Crooked Creek, we’re hosting our annual Fall Fellowship. I couldn’t tell you all the fun details if I tried, but here’s some highlights.
At Fall Fellowship, there is fun for everyone. It is the biggest opportunity to meet new friends and have the best weekend of your year. At my first Fall Fellowship, I made friends that have stuck with me for years. This year Fall Fellowship is carnival themed, and we’re planning accordingly. We’ve got 10+ circus themed games, open shooting, and even the High COPE course open. For those who had their Ordeal over 6 months ago, I hope you’ll sign up to hold your brotherhood induction at FF. Brotherhood membership is the next level of the OA, and I promise it isn’t near as challenging as your Ordeal. Finally, we’ll be hosting lodge leadership elections. If you want to be an officer next year, please fill out the intent to run form on our website. If you want your vote casted and your voice heard, come to Fall Fellowship.
I hope to see you all at Fall Fellowship. We’ve had a great year, and even though Ordeal season is over, we aren’t finished yet. Let’s end the year strong with Fall Fellowship and Winter Banquet. Like always, Ngutti on Top.
Yours in Brotherhood,
Brady T.
