Ordeal Overview
The Ordeal is the induction process for the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s National Honor Society. If you are reading this post, your unit has selected you to become a member of this organization by completing the ordeal. The ordeal is an opportunity for you to give back in service to our scout camps while learning more about the Order of the Arrow. You will learn more about the ordeal process during the weekend.
Registration Dates
Pfeffer Scout Reservation – May 3rd-5th
Camp Crooked Creek – May 17th-19th
Camp Crooked Creek – August 23rd-25th
Pfeffer Scout Reservation – September 20th-22nd
Tunnel Mill Scout Reservation – September 20th-22nd
Packing List
When you come to your ordeal, please be sure to bring the following:

- Part A and B of your BSA Medical form (Medical forms can be found at this link)

- Weather appropriate work clothes for the weekend

- Your BSA Field Uniform (Class A)

- A tent

- A sleeping bag
-
- A tarp/groundsheet (separate from the one used for your tent)

- A back pack or other easily carried method of transporting all your personal belongings (ie no foot lockers)

- A day pack containing the following:

- A pocket knife

- A first aid kit

- Extra clothing

- Rain gear
-
- A water bottle or camelback bladder

- A flashlight or headlamp

- Sun protection

- Work gloves

Event Schedule
Check-in for the event will not open until precisely 7:00 pm. You will have from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm to check in and get situated. The event will last until 10:00 am Sunday morning. If you need to arrive or leave outside of the designated times, please either contact your chapter leadership or you can contact us at the information below. Depending on the camp, registration will be in either the admin building or dining hall. We will have people at all events to help direct you to registration.
