Arrowmen,
“He who serves his fellows is, of all his fellows, greatest” We hear these words at the outset of
our journey in this Order. As servant leaders, we do the difficult work, not because of any awards
or recognition but because we accepted the call to service in the Ordeal. While we can all pitch
in for work crews at ordeal weekends, part of our mission as Arrowmen is to be in cheerful
service to your unit. Think back on your experiences in the OA whether that be a section
conclave, fellowship event, or even an ordeal weekend. We are a brotherhood of cheerful service.
If we each plant these seeds into the hearts of others and let them grow into great oaks of service,
there is no end to what we can accomplish. I have seen how much we have been able to
accomplish together as one lodge this year and am excited to see what we can accomplish going
forward. If you want to make a difference in our lodge, I would implore you to run for a Chapter
or Lodge leadership position this fall. You all are the future of our Lodge, and I am excited to see
the difference each of you makes.
I hope to see each of you at Fall Fellowship late next month!
Yours in Service,
Cameron Poland
